“New” Chief to be Sworn In Thursday

SwearingInInvitationThere’s a new sheriff in town. OK, it’s actually a police chief and he is not so new. But, that’s OK.

Charles Celano is a 22 year veteran of Tustin Police Department. He had worked his way through virtually every job in the department and, I would have to say, knows it inside out. We don’t think Parker could have found a better replacement for Scott Jordan. Although he has been running lo-pro since his promotion to interim chief, I am sure Celano will make his own personal mark on Tustin PD and its personnel.

We have all been invited to a swearing in of the Chief and another acquaintance of mine, Paul Garaven, who will be promoted to Captain. It has been my pleasure to work with Paul who was one of the best public information officers I have ever met. I am sure Chief Celano has big things in store for him. Join us on Thursday as we with them both good luck in their new assignments.
